Extension Settings

Admin > PBX > Extensions

This feature update focuses on improving the user experience in the PBX Extension Settings. Two main areas are addressed: the Search & Assign User functionality and the handling of Outbound Caller ID Number and Emergency Caller ID Number.

These improvements aim to simplify user assignment to extensions and correct the format of caller ID numbers sent to PBX, ensuring a more efficient and accurate process.

  1. Search & Assign User to Extension

The CRM allows users to search for and assign a user to an extension by typing the user’s name. This will significantly streamline the process of finding and assigning users to extensions.

Additionally, the list of usernames is sorted alphabetically by default. This will further enhance usability, making it easier for users to locate names even without using the search feature.

    1. Click in Admin > PBX > Extensions

    2. Select a user from the list > Click in 3 dots button > click in Assign

    3. You will now see a search bar where you can type the user’s name to quickly locate and assign them to an extension.

    4. Alternatively, browse the list of available users, which is now sorted in alphabetical order by default.

  2. Outbound Caller ID Number & Emergency Caller ID Number

The system ensures that when sending the phone number to PBX, only the 10-digit format is used, without the “+” sign.

For example, if the assigned phone number is +1 (310) 909-9146, the number sent to PBX should be formatted as 13109099146 (10 digits only, no “+”).
