FAQ - Missing Credit Report & CRS Failure Notifications

When pulling a Credit Report (CR) in the CRM Logixx system you may encounter notifications indicating missing reports or CRS failure messages.

Why does the system show a “Missing Credit Report” notification?

This appears when the Applicant and/or Co-Applicant does not have a valid Credit Report available for processing.

A CR may be unavailable for several reasons, including:

  • No credit history

  • Frozen credit file

  • No tradelines returned

  • Invalid or mismatched CRS data

See “Common Causes” below for detailed explanations.

The CRM now identifies exactly which participant is missing a Credit Report when using:

ALV Pull Credit Report

The system displays whether the missing CR belongs to:

  • Applicant

  • Co-Applicant

  • Both

This enhancement removes ambiguity and helps analysts take faster, more informed actions.

Scenarios supported

The system handles the following situations:

1. Applicant Missing CR

Notification: “Applicant is missing a Credit Report.”

2. Co-Applicant Missing CR

Notification: “Co-Applicant is missing a Credit Report.”

3. Both Missing CR

Notifications indicate both individuals separately.

⚠️ Common Causes: Why do Credit Report failures occur? (CRS Failure Notifications)

Credit Report failures are often related to the same root issues that cause “missing CR” warnings.

Below are the common CRS failure causes:

❗1. Applicant and/or Co-Applicant Has No Credit History

The credit bureau returns a valid response, but:

  • There are no tradelines,

  • No debts,

  • Or insufficient credit activity.

ALV requires tradelines to normalize data.
If none exist, the credit file appears “empty,” triggering a CRS failure.

❗2. Frozen Credit File

The applicant’s credit file may be frozen at the bureau, preventing data retrieval.

Effect:

  • ALV receives a response with no tradelines

  • The system cannot normalize the file

  • CRS returns a failure notification

  • The system now identifies which applicant is affected (Applicant / Co-Applicant)

❗3. Invalid or Mismatched Report Type

This happens when:

  • There are no debts

  • The CRS response is incomplete

  • The bureau returned a mixed or corrupted file

ALV fails normalization, and the system marks the CR as missing. This failure may appear when pulling a credit report.
