Credit Report Summary
The Credit Report Summary provides a consolidated view of the applicant’s credit profile. It is divided into multiple components that help users quickly assess identity details, credit score, and overall financial standing.
1. Applicant Information
This section displays the primary applicant’s personal and identifying details used to generate the credit report.
Fields include:
First Name & Last Name
Date of Birth
SSN
Address (Street, City, State, ZIP)
Joint Application status
Key Behavior:
This information is pulled directly from the Applicant tab
It must be complete and accurate for the credit report to generate successfully
2. Co-Applicant Information
If a co-applicant is included, their details will appear in this section.
Fields include:
First Name & Last Name
SSN
Address (if available)
State and ZIP
Key Behavior:
This section remains blank if no co-applicant is added
If a joint application is selected, co-applicant data may also be required for a successful credit pull
3. Credit Pull Data (Preview Panel)
The “Credit Pull Data” button (top right) opens a preview panel showing the exact information that will be submitted to the credit bureau.
Includes:
Applicant’s full name
Date of birth
SSN
Full address
Purpose:
Allows verification of data before or after triggering the credit pull action
Helps identify missing or incorrect fields that could cause failures
4. Score Model
This section displays the applicant’s credit score and the scoring model used.
Example:
FICO Risk Score Classic 04 or TransUnion VantageScore
Components:
Score Value (e.g., 515, 569)
Score Range Indicator (e.g., 300–850 scale)
Score Rating (e.g., Fair, Poor, Good)
Score Factors:
A list of key reasons impacting the score, such as:
Delinquent or derogatory accounts
High credit utilization
Too few or too many accounts
Recent inquiries
Purpose:
Provides insight into why the applicant has their current score
Helps guide financial analysis and recommendations
5. Trade Summary
This section summarizes the applicant’s overall credit activity and obligations.
Key Metrics:
Revolving Credit Utilization
Percentage of available credit currently in use
Total Liability Payment
Combined monthly payments across all active debts
Purpose:
Helps evaluate the applicant’s debt load
Supports affordability and risk assessment
How This Section Is Used
The Credit Report Summary is typically the first section reviewed after a credit pull and is used to:
Validate applicant identity and data accuracy
Assess creditworthiness quickly
Identify risk factors affecting approval
Support underwriting and enrollment decisions
