ALV Underwriting Profiles

Overview

The ALV Underwriting currently returns a full set of comprehensive underwriting checks for every application.

However, in real operational workflows, different user types (e.g., openers vs. closers) or different application stages require only specific subsets of these checks.

To support these scenarios, Logixx CRM introduces ALV Underwriting Profiles (ALV UW Profiles) — a customizable rule-based framework that allows administrators to define which underwriting checks should be included or excluded based on user attributes, roles, or application conditions.

Administrators can manage ALV UW Profiles directly from the Logixx CRM admin menu.

Navigation Path:

Click in Admin > Company Setup > System Configuration > Underwriting > ALV Underwriting > Profiles

Creating a New ALV UW Profile

To create a new ALV UW Profile:

  1. Go to Admin → Underwriting → ALV Underwriting → Profiles.

  2. Click the Create Profile button located in the top-right corner of the screen.

You will be presented with a form like the one shown below:

  • Description: Optionally provide a description of what this profile is used for.

    • Included: Shows underwriting results related to both enrolled and unenrolled accounts.

    • Excluded: Filters out underwriting checks for unenrolled accounts.

Collect Check Names Button

What It Does?

The "Collect Check Names" button is used to gather and update the list of available checks that can be excluded from ALV Underwriting profiles. These checks are dynamically discovered by the system and are displayed in the Excluded Checks section when creating or editing a profile.

Relationship Between ALV UW Profiles, Triggers, and Actions

ALV Underwriting Profiles do not operate in isolation. They are part of the broader Logixx CRM workflow engine, which includes Triggers and Actions.

Understanding how these three components interact is essential for configuring automated underwriting processes correctly.

A new trigger event has been added by the development team:

  • Trigger Event: ALV Underwriting Qualified

This event is used to detect when ALV returns a qualified/approved underwriting result. When triggered, the workflow can:

  • Move an application from Credit Pending to UW Approved

  • Apply the appropriate ALV UW Profile, based on the profile’s configured criteria

  • Execute the workflow’s post-functions with the correct underwriting context

Workflow actions—especially underwriting-related ones—also use the active ALV UW Profile to determine how to process an application.

Run Credit (ALV Workflow)

Post Functions

It will pull the credit report and send to ALV for normalization.

Run ALV Underwriting

Post Functions

It will run the ALV underwriting.
