The Bulk Transfer of Apps feature allows CRM users to transfer a large number of apps from one status to another while maintaining the current app ownership.
This feature is useful for pipeline cleanup and process management. The feature is designed to ensure that no duplicate assignments are made under the same lead role, unless specific options are enabled to override this behavior.
It includes two key options for handling existing assignments: clearing assignments and replacing them.
By default, an application transfer will not proceed if the app already has a user assigned under the same lead role. This logic prevents unintentional reassignment or duplication of roles. However, admins have the flexibility to override this logic using the options below:
Options for Handling Existing Assignments:
Clear Existing Assignments:
Description: When this option is selected, all existing assignments for the selected applications will be cleared before processing new assignments.
Use Case: This is helpful when a full reassignment is needed, and the admin wants to start with a clean slate, ensuring that all previous role assignments are removed.
Replace Existing Assignments:
Description: When this option is selected, the system will replace the current assignment under the same lead role with the new assignment, bypassing the default logic that prevents reassignment.
Use Case: This is useful when an admin needs to update the lead role assignment for several applications, ensuring the apps are assigned to new users even if they already have leads assigned.
