Overview
This permission allows users to assign ownership of newly created applications. When enabled, users can:
Assign a new application to themselves.
Assign a new application to another user or team member.
Reassign ownership if the application was initially created without an assigned owner.
This feature is particularly useful in teams where incoming applications need to be distributed according to workload, expertise, or department.
Impact if Disabled
If the permission is disabled, users will:
Only see applications already assigned to them.
Be unable to assign or reassign ownership of new apps.
Need to rely on a manager or another user with this permission to get new apps allocated.
This ensures that only authorized staff handle distribution, reducing the risk of misrouting applications.
Recommendation:
✅ For Admins, team leads, or intake coordinators.
❌ Disable for users who should only work on assigned applications.
