Default Time Zone
The Super Admin sets the default time zone for all users in the Org settings. This default time zone acts as a standard until a user’s time zone is updated in their individual preferences. It serves as a static reference point for certain functions within the system, such as Payment Schedules. For instance, program payments are scheduled based on this default time zone.

User Preferences: Personalizing Time Zone
While the Org settings provide a default, users can personalize their time zone settings under User Preferences. These personalized settings overwrite the Org’s default time zone and can impact system event logs.
One of the areas that have been updated to use this personalized time zone setting is Tools > Tasks. However, it’s important to note that any changes to the time zone in User Preferences require a refresh for the updates to take effect.
The impact of these personalized settings is evident when viewing task logs. For example, if a user in Los Angeles and another in New York are viewing the same task log, they would see different times for the same task. This is because the event date/time is translated to the user’s local time zone.

Go to 'Preferences,' located at the top-right of the window.
In the "My Profile" tab, you will find the "Timezone" field, where a dropdown list will display the available time zones for the user to set.
Finally, Click the "Save Changes" Button to keep the update.
Setting the time zone during user Creation
Time zone settings can be configured during the creation of a new user.
1. Go to Admin>Security Setup>Manage Users.
2. The user's list will be displayed. Click on the "Add" button at the top right of the window.
3. The pop-up window will appear, and the "Timezone" option field will be displayed alongside the other fields, allowing to set the default timezone directly to the user once created.
4. Finally, Click the "Save & Close" Button to keep the update.
